On Tuesday 16 March 2010 the IISS hosted a roundtable workshop on Climate Change & Energy Security: Overlapping Priorities.  The event, which took place on Capitol Hill in Washington DC, saw the participation of over 40 international representatives from government agencies, research and academic institutions, and NGOs.

The Keynote Address was given by The Honorable Dr. Klaus Scharioth, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United States. This event is part of the IISS’ Transatlantic Dialogue on Climate Change and Security, a program funded by the European Commission.
