03 June 2011 - IISS Asia Adelphi Book Launch - NO EXIT: North Korea, Nuclear Weapons and International Security
In this upcoming Adelphi book, published by The International Institute for Strategic Studies, Jonathan D. Pollack analyses at the Kim family's deep investment in nationalism and nuclear capability in the context of the great poilitical upheavals of the Cold War, and collapse of the USSR and the rise of China. The book looks at the events and ideas that shaped North Korean identity, as well as the factors influencing the great powers' reactions.

Dr José Ramos-Horta Address
At the invitation of The International Institute for Strategic Studies Asia (IISS-Asia), President H.E. Dr José Ramos-Horta of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste made a special address in the IISS-Asia seminar series, sponsored by the Australian Department of Defence, on Wednesday 1 December, when he spoke to an invited audience at the Raffles Hotel on the theme of Timor-Leste and its Regional Relations.
