18 Nov 2009 - IISS-Asia Book Launch - Preventing Nuclear Dangers in Southeast Asia and Australasia
On Wednesday 18 2009 the International Institute for Strategic Studies launched it's latest Strategic Dossier, 'Preventing Nuclear Dangers in Southeast Asia and Australasia' in Asia. Mark Fitzpatrick, Senior Fellow for Non-proliferation presented the main arguments of the book and took questions. Dr Tim Huxley, IISS-Asia Executive Director, chaired the event. The launch will take place at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore.

29-31 May 2009 - 8th Shangri-La Dialogue
The 8th IISS Shangri-La Dialogue was convened in Singapore from 29 to 31 May 2009. The Shangri-La Dialogue has been recognised as a key event for defence and security diplomacy for the region. Since its inaugural meeting in 2002, the Dialogue has become a recognised part of the architecture of Asian defence diplomacy and is seen as the region's premier and most inclusive security institution.
