The Institute's fifth-floor conference room overlooks the Thames, with splendid views of Tower Bridge, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. It has been designed to be one of the best spaces for press briefings, presentations, conferences and meetings in London. It has a large plasma screen with full back-projection equipment, videoconferencing equipment including twin screen monitors, remote-control operated and multiple ISDN and cassette, CD, CD Rom, DVD and video players. A simultaneous-translation booth is available, as well as full microphone kit for open square conference layouts, or for speeches in theatre layouts.
The air-conditioned room seats 190 theatre-style, or it can be divided into two, so that two separate events can be held simultaneously. A reception area at the river end is ideal for coffee breaks and for small dinners.
