Classic Adelphi Papers: The Evolution of Strategic Thought

New Classic Adelphi Papers book: The Evolution of Strategic Thought

To commemorate its 50th anniversary, the IISS has published a collection of 12 Adelphi Papers that represent some of the finest writing on strategic issues. They offer insight into the changing security landscape of the past half-century and glimpses of some of the most significant security events and trends of our times, from the Cold War nuclear arms race, through the oil crisis of 1973, to the contemporary challenge of asymmetric war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

IISS 50th Anniversary Membership Support Programme

The IISS relies heavily on income from membership, sponsorship, and charitable donations from individuals and companies. As an independent and politically neutral organisation, the IISS receives no core funding from governments. Thanks to this support, the IISS has established an unparalleled reputation as an authority of international security and political and military conflict.  The IISS has grown to be a truly global think tank, with a presence on three continents and boasting a large international network reaching all corners of the globe.
